The English actor Tom Hiddleston has reportedly been cast as Loki in the Marvel Comic’s Thor movie. Tom Hiddleston can be seen in the BBC’s Wallender.
Apparently, director Branagh believed Wallender would be a good fit. Tom Hiddleston joins the recently announced Chris Hemsworth who will portray Thor.
In Norse mythology, Loki is the “God of Mischief ” and brother of the more powerful Thor, “God of Thunder.” Loki was banished from the kindgom of Asgard for defying their father, Odin and is hell bent on getting his brother to share the same fate and misery.

Fantastic choice, going with someone bred for theater. Can’t wait!
he looks ok for the part, havent seen his work, but theres one error in Marvels interpretation, Loki is Odins half brother, not Thors. Of course in the movie buisness everything is aloud.
It’s difficult to find the right words in a foreign language for such sublime acting. I would like to say that Mr. Hiddleston is simply too good to play in a movie like Thor. But I hope that from now, one can see him more often in (independant-) productions which are big enough to find their way in swiss cinemas.
LOKI IS THORS HALF BROTHER IN THE COMICS AS WELL AS THE MOVIE!!
GREAT MOVIE BY THE WAY, TOM AND CHRIS WERE PHENOMENAL
